I'm replaying Oblivion and waiting patiently for Skyrim with the odd playthrough of DAO.
Dragon age 2 patch 1.05 pc software#
Wake me up when it's all for real no beta's required, I'm all beted out from some other new software at the moment Lots of threads discussing what might and might not be, seem really pointless to me and as you say it only leads to disappointment and then arguments, life is too short to read fiction about fiction.
Dragon age 2 patch 1.05 pc Patch#
I really don't fancy disabeling all my mods and fixes only to find the patch is rubbish and doesn't fix everything I had mods for. I suppose it's OK for people only just buying it but pointless for many. I don't understand why BW are doing a patch for stuff that modders have fixed or found and brought to life. No sense in people thinking "The next patch will fix ", when it's designed to fix, then having two-dozen "I'm so disappointed" threads created and weeks of flaming posts because it didn't do anything about ! Folk wanting fixes for one set shouldn't expect any help from the "patch" for the other. Just making it clear that there are two different DA:O efforts, which are trying to address two different sets of issues. Even if they don't get around to fixing everything, they are still engaged. )Īnyway, I'm very glad to see that I was mistaken a while ago when I guessed that with the 1.04 patch, BioWare was "done working on DAO". There is a lot of great content already in the game that just needs to be triggered correctly! (Whereas things like "Weakens Nearby Darkspawn" not working don't both me nearly as much. Sure hope it includes all the Alistair, Morrigan, and Zevran dialogue patches. This is what BKE called the "official UNofficial patch" (as did the BioWare devs themselves.) Personally, I think this'll end-up being a sticky topic thread on the BSN with a link to a collection of "Community-Developed and BioWare-Tested" fixes. Then there's another work-stream directed at the errors with plot-flags, item-attributes, relationship-status, etc. That's not really a "BioWare" issue, but obviously impacts a player's experience. Compounding the difficulty of that effort has been the problem of the EA (not BioWare) servers failing to correctly recognize user credentials to keep folk logged-on when the appropriate option box is ticked.

(It's possible that there will also be an attempt to address at least some causes of CtD, but I'm not sure about that.)Īn initial version was distributed to the beta test team, and the results of that round of testing are being analyzed and the patch re-worked. The file character editor is a modification for Dragon Age: Origins, a (n) rpg game. As BKE indicated, there are two different efforts going on with the BioWare DAO team right now.įirst, there's the "official" 1.05 patch which is specifically focused on fixing the installation and DLC authorization problems that have plagued many users for months-and-months now.
